SUBSTANCE: device is used to search by delay for signal whose structure and its frequency uncertainty region are unknown and to identify signal structure. Broadband input signal whose structure carrier frequency and frequency uncertainty region are unknown arrives at entire device. Subtraction from periodic input signal and from same delay signal across subtracter output results in single pulse passed to each of N identical channels where direct Fourier transform is effected in each channel. Voltage characterizing spectrum of analyzed signal subjected to amplitude detection is built up across direct-transform unit with the result that voltage characterizing input signal spectrum envelope is set up across output of amplitude-detection unit; then channel where spectrum envelope is of maximal magnitude is determined.
