FIELD: veterinary. SUBSTANCE: cows kept in ecologically adverse zone receive over 5-day period twice a day orally 3.0-3.5% gel solution of acid-soluble chitosan with degree of deacetylation 88% based on 1% acetic acid solution. Administered dose amounts to 2.5-3.5 ml of solution per 1 kg body weight. Five days later the whole procedure is repeated. EFFECT: stimulated excretion of lead and nickel. 7 tbl
