FIELD: veterinary pharmacology, obstetrics, gynecology. SUBSTANCE: for treating cows at retained afterbirth one should prepare a solution consisted of 33% tincture of sunflower seed- containing calathide supplemented with the salts of macro- and microelements at the rate of 100 ml: potassium iodine 0.8-1.2 mg, copper sulfate 45-55 mg, manganese sulfate 1.5-2.5 mg, zinc sulfate 25-35 mg, cobalt chloride 1.2-1.4 mg, sodium selenite 0.3-0.5 mg, sodium chromide 0.65- 0.75 mg, potassium bromide 0.6-0.8 mg. Preparation is injected into jugular vein at the dosage of 2.5-3.5 ml. Results obtained demonstrate that intravenous injection of phytopreparation at its nominal name of ERA-"h" promotes afterbirth detachment in all the cows during 2-3 h. Injection of the suggested phytopreparation for cows in case of retained afterbirth prevents complications and leads to better recovery in animals. EFFECT: higher efficiency of treatment. 1 tbl
