FIELD: organic chemistry, agriculture. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the substituted derivatives of 1,3,5- triazine as a semiproduct used for synthesis of a growth-regulating agent for alfalfa. Invention proposes the novel semiproduct of synthesis, 2,4,6-tris-(4'-carboxymethyl-thio)-1,3,5-triazine, of the general formula (I) as the base salts of that exhibit the growth-regulating activity with respect to alfalfa plants. Use of the proposed compound provides increase of seeds alfalfa yield, height of growing up after mowing, increase of mass of 1000 seeds, seeds mass from a single plant and seeds yield and improvement of germinating capacity of seeds obtained from the harvest.
