FIELD: engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed solid-propellant engine boost unit is designed for mounting inside ramjet engine and is furnished with shutter tail section whose diameter is equal to diameter of exit of ramjet engine nozzle. Housing of engine boost unit is made cylindrical with diameter smaller than or equal to diameter of air intake channel. Shutter tail section has aerodynamic skirt or hood in form of plunger arranged inside combustion chamber of ramjet engine and overlapping the nozzle. EFFECT: reduced mass of solid-propellant engine boost unit with provision or reliability of its ejection after boosting. 3 cl, 2 dwg
