FIELD: analysis of petroleum and water content of non-extracted specimen reservoir rocks by the method of nuclear magnetic resonance. SUBSTANCE: the method is effected by successive measurement of the weight of the petroleum-water saturated specimen, placement of the specimen in deuterated water, measurement of the amplitude of the NMR signal from the specimen with deuterated water, placement of the specimen in distilled water, drying of the specimen at the temperature of water evaporation from the specimen until the value of relation of the current signal amplitude and the amplitude of the signal from the specimen with deuterated water equal to (0.7-0.8) unity is attained, saturation of the specimen with kerosene, measurement of the amplitude of the signal from the specimen with kerosene, and the quantity of petroleum and water in the specimen is determined by the respective formulas. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of determination of the quantity of petroleum and water with any concentration of hydrogen in petroleum and with any mineralization of water and with any relationship of interstitial fluids in] rocks. 2 cl, 1 dwg, 1 tbl
