FIELD: water services; methods of regeneration of water cleaning unit filters. SUBSTANCE: starting water enters filter 1 with floating medium 3 through injector 5; simultaneously, pulse flow is fed to perforated tubes 11 through one of switching devices 12; perforated tubes 11 are mounted at upper level of the lowest layer of floating medium. Pulse flow are fed from opposite sides of housing 1 of filter provided with floating medium. Water is supplied in wavy manner, thus creating alternating areas of increases pressure and rarefaction. Then pulse flows are created in next higher layer via tubes 10, then next layer, and so on as far as extreme upper layer. Time intervals for forming pulse flows at subsequent layers are experimentally defined. Duration of said intervals is dictated by degree of contamination and volume of filter. EFFECT: enhanced operating efficiency due to improved quality of regeneration. 6 cl, 2 dwg
