FIELD: horticulture. SUBSTANCE: soil ripper has carrier bar, teeth, supporting unit, foot platform and two shanks, with mentioned parts being attached to bar. Shanks are connected to bar through bushings and are arranged in parallel one with another or widened upward at portions adjacent to bushings. Shank spacing must be sufficient for receiving digging tool body between shanks, when worker squeezes the latter by two hands towards himself. Supporting unit length is equal to bar length, and foot platform is positioned on bar and supporting unit between shank bushings. Soil ripper of such construction allows effectiveness to be increased by 2-3 times as compared to conventional fork or spade. EFFECT: simplified digging process, reduced labor consumption for manual soil ripping and increased efficiency. 2 dwg
