FIELD: plastic metal working, namely mechanization of operations of forging hammer. SUBSTANCE: manipulator includes grips in the form of endless chains placed at both sides of die set positions; mechanisms for interposition motion and mechanisms for vertical motion for each endless chain of grips. Mechanism for interposition motion includes spring-loaded rod provided with follower and jointly mounted by its upper portion and balance beam with dent mounted on rod. Mechanism for vertical motion includes keys jointly mounted in their upper ends and provided with leverage and output link for joining with grip chain. Rods and keys are arranged with inclination relative to motion path of striking unit. Keys are profiled and they are mutually joined at their lower portions with possibility of alternating interaction with striking unit or tracking it by means of equal-arm lever in depending upon motion direction of striking unit. Output link of mechanism for vertical motion has cantilever for periodically acting upon balance beam. EFFECT: enhanced operational reliability of manipulator due to optimization of its loads. 3 dwg
