FIELD: storage and transportation of bulk cargo, iron-rich pullets in particular. SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in treatment of starting pellets in reducing gas; their surfaces are coated with protective coat containing calcium oxide; after ageing and storage of iron- rich pellets, they are transported by sea transport in air medium at forced ventilation and moisture content of pellets loaded in closed volume of sea transport not exceeding 2.5% and temperature not above 45 C; height of stacks of iron- rich pellets shall not exceed 7 m both in storage and transportation; total duration of storage and transportation shall not exceed 90 days. EFFECT: possibility of retaining respective degree of metallization during storage and transportation under atmospheric conditions.
