FIELD: jet ammunition. SUBSTANCE: the jet projectile has a detachable engine of composite material, cylinder-shaped with a conical-logical section, sustainer stage with a nose cone, whose rear section is positioned in a heat-insulated barrel partially recesses in the engine, that is located in a diametrically broadening of the powder charge. The slope of the generator of the engine conical section to the projectile longitudinal axis does not exceed the slope of the generator of the sustainer stage nose cone. The engine external surface is made with a semielastic heat-insulating coating based on a binder and finely dispersed polymeric filler, whose surface is equidistant to the engine surface. In the length of sliding of the sustainer stage in the engine the thickness of the heat- insulating coating exceeds the coating thickness on the other sections of the engine, and the coating surface over the entire length of the coating has a roughness within Rz10-40. Fluoroplastic is used as the coating filler. EFFECT: enhanced flight speed and reliability of projectile functioning due to prevention of heating of the engine power shell. 2 cl, 4 dwg
