SINGLE-HANDLE WATER-MIXING TAP Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: tap meant for mixing cold and hot water in different proportions mainly in shower cubicles and sanitary units has body bordering mixing chamber joined to distributing outlet, two separately made seats communicating through respective ducts with cold- and hot-water pipe connections; handle installed on body and kinematically joined with disk gate for its displacement relative to seats from closed to open positions of tap. Ducts providing communication between seats of cold- and hot-water pipe connections are made in the form of knee at right angle. Their inlets are spaced apart in horizontal plane with eccentricity equal to half of their diameter. Adapter with mating ducts made in the form of knee abuts against body symmetrically to inlet ducts. Each of them is additionally separated with eccentricity equal to half of diameter in vertical plane from opposite side of body handle. Eccentric nipples with union nuts are installed in adapter at duct inlet to join tap to pipe connections of cold- and hot-water pipelines. EFFECT: facilitated operation of tap. 10 cl, 5 dwg
