BOOM SPRAYER FOR TREATING FIELD CROPS Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural equipment. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has mobile power unit, sprayer, mounted on power unit and equipped with working liquid vessel, at least one valve, boom, pump, filter, hydraulic line, liquid flow rate regulator, and is further provided with rotor sprinklers and cutoff valves connected with boom through bracket to which sprinklers and cutoff valves are separately joined. Cutoff valve is of membrane type and has body, spring-loaded membrane, liquid supplying channel connected to rotor sprinkler and via cavity defined by cutoff valve body inner wall and liquid supplying channel outer wall to hydraulic line. Liquid supplying channel is made L-shaped. Cutoff valve is combined with liquid flow rate regulator. Liquid is supplied via liquid supplying channel to rotor sprinkler. Liquid flow rate regulator is provided with casing and rod having main part and threaded part. Liquid flow rate regulator inner part is equipped with thread mating with that of rod part. So, rod may be fixed in predetermined position. Sealing ring is arranged on rod. Rotor sprinkler is fixed on bracket for indexing rotation in vertical plane. Apparatus of such construction provides for uniform supplying of liquid into each sprinkler and regulated direction of liquid spray beam. Rotor sprinklers are readily mounted, dismantled or repaired under field conditions. Boom sprayer allows field crops to be treated with small amounts of preparation.
