FIELD: cleansing agents. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of cleansing articles made of nonferrous and precious metals and can be used in jewelry, electronic and domestic industries. Cleansing composition has the following components, g/l: s syntanol ALM-10, 5.0-10.0; ortho-phosphoric acid, 2.0-18.0; at least one organic acid taken among the following group: oxalic, citric, tartaric, acetic, formic acids, 5.0-100.0; thiourea, 79.0-84.0; dialkyl- -thiourea, 0.5-1.0; 1,2,3-benzotriazole, 0.4-0.8; serial inhibitor VNCH-LF-408, 0.1-0.2; ethyl alcohol, 60.0-65.0 and water, the balance. Cleansing method involves immersion of articles into the claimed composition for cleansing in glass capacity, kept at the room temperature, subjected for ultra- -sonic treatment at periodic shaking followed by washing out and drying articles. EFFECT: prolonged anticorrosion effect, improved process of cleansing articles made of nonferrous and precious metal alloys, fining surface of precious stones and crystal glass. 5 cl, 2 tbl, 2 ex
