GRANULATOR Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: technology and equipment for granulation of melts; jewelry and other industries manufacturing articles by casting to models made from wax-like thermoplastic materials. SUBSTANCE: granulator has melter, conveyer with cooled belt, drip former with perforated bottom and shaft forming sliding pair together with inner surface of drip former body. Shaft is provided with longitudinal slot with metering plate whose position is defined by profile of pair of eccentric cams rigidly fitted in drip former body. Varying position of plate makes melt move towards perforated bottom of body, thus admitting it to cooled belt of conveyer from which granules which are just solidified drips of melt are fed to containers. EFFECT: possibility of obtaining pure and homogeneous granules of preset form and sizes from drips of wax-like agent. 2 dwg
