FIELD: manufacture of section material from thermoplastic material by thermal plastification of material and its continuous section molding. SUBSTANCE: method involves preparation of molding mixture. Mixture suitable for continuous section molding is introduced under pressure into section-forming duct till it is filled up; thick-walled section blank is molded in mentioned duct, at least partially hardened by cooling, and after that extracted from section-forming duct. Then blank is allowed to shrink by seasoning its separate lengths for certain period of time. Upon expiration of seasoning time blank is cut into separate sections with material removed from at least separate parts of its perimeter so as to form intermediate section. Intermediate section on at least part of its perimeter is coated with layer improving appearance of its surface. Method relates not only to section material manufacture but also to device implementing this method. EFFECT: improved method. 110 cl, 17 dwg
