FIELD: device for sizing and cooling of plastic sections, for example, window sections and method for use of the device. SUBSTANCE: the device is connected past the extruder. The device has a vacuum vessel and several calibrators located one after another. The vacuum vessel is filled with flowing-through coolant. The calibrator is made in the form of disk members. The plastic section is pulled through the device by means of a pulling mechanism connected past the device. The disk members consist of several segments with cooling ducts passing at an angle to the extrusion axis. The clear width of the cooling ducts is so selected that they would be overlapped inside one member from the section inlet to the outlet in the longitudinal axis by value B′. Positioned before the section inlet to the disk members is the spraying frame making up a narrow clearance for the section inlet. Each disk member is fixed by means of prismatic keys acting stepwise and adjusted separately. The method for use of the device consists in pulling-through of the plastic section past the outlet from the extruder through the calibrator. The plastic section passes through the spraying frame with an annular duct for the section and the cooling means, and through the clearance between the spraying frame and section inlet. After that the plastic section is directed through the cooling ducts of the disk members, passing over the surface of engagement with the section at an angle to the extrusion axis.
