SUBSTANCE: invention relates to diacetal composition, which is in the form of powder or in the form of granulated product and contains powdered diacetal and binder containing at least one organic acid or acid derivative functioning as agents lowering melting point. At least one diacetal in composition is represented by 1,3:2,4-O-dibenzylidene-D-sorbitol or its intranuclearly substituted derivative and at least one binder is selected from the group including neutral or low- acidic monobasic organic acids, neutral or low-acidic polybasic organic acids, incomplete salts of neutral or low-acidic polybasic organic acids, sulfuric acid ester salts, sulfonic acid ester salts, phosphoric acid ester salts, phosphorous acid ester salts, and aluminum salts of neutral or low-acidic monobasic organic acids. Binder is homogeneously dispersed on the surface and inside particles of granulated or powdered diacetal composition. Thus obtained composition can be used as crystal-nucleating agent for polyolefin resins.
