GUIDED ARTILLERY PROJECTILE; METHOD FOR ASSEMBLY OF ARTILLERY PROJECTILE WARHEAD Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

Abstract RU 2177599 C1

FIELD: artillery ammunition. SUBSTANCE: guided artillery projectile has bays, warhead positioned between them with receptacles on both ends and bonding pads on thin plates with electric couplings passing inside the warhead body. The thin plate is made in the form of a cylindrical shell with bonding pads on its ends connected in pairs by parallel conducting tracks located on the outer surface of the shell. An insulating liner is installed between the warhead body and the thin plate and fastened by an adhesive compound. The conducting tracks are unbent at an angle of 89 to 91 deg. to the generating line of the warhead body and fastened on the receptacles, and the conducting tracks have a depth equal to 2 to 4 of their width. The method for assembly of the projectile warhead consists in the following. Before loading of the warhead by explosive, bonding pads are made on the two opposite sides of the tin flat plate, and parallel conducting tracks are mounted between them. Then, the insulating liner is cemented to the plate on the side of the conducting tracks, and the plate is turned with the liner outside in a cylinder with a diameter equal to the inside diameter of the warhead body. Adhesive is applied onto the liner surface, and the cylinder is cemented in the warhead body. The bonding pads are fastened by an in-process fastener on the inner surface of the warhead body, and the body is loaded by explosive by pressing-out. After that the receptacles are attached to the warhead body, the in-process fastener of the bonding pads are removed, the pads are unbent up to the touch with the receptacles and fastened on the receptacles. EFFECT: enhanced adaptability to assembly of the warhead of the guided artillery projectile. 3 cl, 6 dwg
