GRIPPER OF DEVICE FOR EMPTYING CONTAINERS INTO GARBAGE REMOVAL TRUCK BODY Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: public services. SUBSTANCE: proposed gripper has base 1, fixed lip 2 and movable lip 3 coupled with base. Movable lip is connected to rod of hydraulic cylinder 4 connected to base and is made in form of plate engaging with outer surface of metal container wall furnished with tie-rods hinge-connected by some ends to wall and hinge-coupled with base. Fixed lip is made for engagement with inner surface of metal container wall. Gripper has additional pair of lips, 9 and 10, made in form of two parallel bars installed with clearance, one of which is furnished with four L-shaped grips engaging with plastic container flange from bottom and is secured along upper edge of fixed lip. Second bar is connected with brackets hinge-coupled with second end of each tie-rod. Brackets are fitted on common axle installed with clearance in supports for displacement in vertical plane under action of adjusters found in supports.
