FIELD: power engineering. SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method, gas supplied into power plant is heated by exhaust gases in regenerator with heat supplied to gas at constant pressure in heating chamber. After heating chamber, hot gas is expanded in turn in sections of sectional recuperator operating at constant volume, is compressed, forces preliminarily cooled gas to consumer, taking its place, and gets cooled at constant volume creating rarefaction required for operation of power plant. According to other version, heated gas, after heating chamber, gets to consumer and then into cooled sectional recuperator after which it passes into regenerator for heating the gas delivered into power plant. According to third version, gas gets to consumer after supply of heat to gas in heating chamber without combustion and then it passes into cooled sectional recuperator and, after recuperator it gets again into heating chamber at constant pressure.
