FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method aimed at reducing toxicity by processing of charge. According to invention, oxygen is separated from air delivered into engine, then oxygen is ozonized and fed into combustion chamber. Simultaneously, fuel delivered into engine is ionized. Device has air filter, fuel ionizer and ozonizer and gas separator to separate oxygen from air delivered into combustion chamber. Ozonizer is installed after gas separator in direction of air-flow and is made in form of coaxially arranged cylinders. Discharge projections are made on inner surface of outer grounded cylinder, and inner cylinder is coated with high- voltage insulation and is connected with one of terminals of high-voltage high-frequency supply source. Fuel ionizer can be made in form of electrets installed at outlet of atomizing channel, for instance, fuel nozzle, or furnished with high-voltage high-temperature insulation of ring installed at outlet of atomizing channel of fuel nozzle.
