FIELD: radio engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention is related to devices for detection and determination of position of object with use of radio waves and is designed for fast transform of polar coordinates and entry of data of radar scans into storage having rectangular coordinates for their subsequent presentation on raster display. Digital converter of scans has buffer storage 1 of brightness codes of dots of radar scan, computer 2 of addresses of recording of initial dots of radar scan, unit 3 computing addresses of recording of subsequent dots and picture storage 4. Salient feature of proposed converter consist in presence of shift register 5, permanent storage 6 of parallel filling of dots of radar scan with brightness codes, unit 7 computing distance between adjacent scans at moment of recording of dots of radar scan, configuration and size permanent storage 8 of fragment of fixed zone connected properly. Digital converter of scans simultaneously records group of dots of radar scan in the form of fragment with determined configuration and size in picture storage securing maximum coalescence of their image at high speed of antenna scanning which is technical result of invention. Digital converter of scans can be used in surveillance radars and in converters of ultrasonic image for medical diagnostics.
