MAGNETIC LOCK Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: locksmith's work. SUBSTANCE: lock has a magnetic unit having a holder with fixed magnetic members and a separator rigidly coupled to it with movable magnetic members installed coaxially with the fixed ones and directed towards each other by the like poles. Two punched frames with holes and slots for the movable magnetic members are rigidly secured on a rod provided with a return spring from the top and bottom of the separator. A through cavity for the key made in the form of a plate of soft magnetic material with holes is provided between the separator and the holder of the magnetic unit. The lock control handle is coupled to the separator by means of an interlock having a cam, lever, spring-loaded rod and a cylindrical roller engageable with the cam and having a possibility to travel in the horizontal and vertical ducts, depending on the enabling instruction of the key. EFFECT: the interlock prevents overload of the rod with punched frames and provides for transfer of heavy forces to the locking mechanism. 4 dwg
