FIELD: designed for installation between the separating frame and the casement of the window or door. SUBSTANCE: braking arrangement consists of a telescopic tube and a piston rod installed inside it for slip. The piston rod passes through the front pilot hole of the telescopic tube that is made in a rigidly fastened profile body inserted inside the telescopic tube and having braking surfaces conically converging to the pilot hole for the piston rod and engageable with the cone-shaped brake block consisting of one or several parts, enveloping the piston rod and being under a constant action of a spring. At least one shock absorber of elastic material is installed in the telescopic tube between the piston and the countersupport fixed on the tube. Enhanced functional reliability and uniform braking due to which the reliable final position is attained with retardation so that the braking arrangement could serve as a restraining arm at opening of any window frames and doors, especially of those turning relative to two different axes. EFFECT: improved design. 12 cl, 7 dwg
