METHOD AND DEVICE FOR WELDING OF CHAMFERED FRAME SECTIONS OF PLASTICS WITH INSERTED PICKINGS Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: welding of chamfered frame sections of plastics with inserted pickings. SUBSTANCE: the pickings are placed in the entire length of the section and made of material yielding to welding, mainly of thermoplastic material. The packing consists of a fastening leg and at least of one sealing collar. The surfaces of chamfer and the adjacent areas of the frame section are heated with the aid of a welding mirror to the welding temperature. The welding mirror is removed from the area of the chamfer surfaces. The chamfer surfaces of the frame sections are pressed to each other. During welding of the frame sections and pickings the internal contour of the packing in the plane of the chamfer and side by side with the plane of the chamfer formed by the sealing collar and the fastening leg is covered at least by one shaped part. The shaped part has the same or close to it contour. The device for realization of the method has a welding mirror for heating the frame section to the welding temperature, means for drawing aside the welding mirror and pressing the surfaces of chamfered frame sections to each other. The device has also at least one shaped part for pressing the inner contour of the packing. The shaped part is installed for movement or turning during welding to the area of chamfer of the frame sections or pickings. EFFECT: preserved elastic properties in the area of angles. 16 cl, 17 dwg
