SUBSTANCE: device has body of instrument carrying drive and probe which is set in motion by drive for moving probe from driven-in position inside wellbore to extended position with penetration of probe into wall of wellbore and coming in contact with a bed. Probe is essentially adapted for tightening to wall of wellbore when probe is in extended position. Probe has means for measurement of properties of bed with which probe comes in contact.
