FIELD: mechanical engineering; turbochargers. SUBSTANCE: when necessity arises to clean nozzle ring of gas turbocharger cleaning cycle is started which is carried out automatically. During cleaning cycle water is injected several times within short period of time into zone before nozzle ring with pause between injections kept to permit heating of nozzle ring again. Device for wet cleaning of nozzle ring has radial holes with fitted-in sprayers connected through corresponding lines with water supply line. Control element is installed between measuring link recording change of state of engine exhaust gases and actuating link found in supply line. EFFECT: improved cleaning of nozzle ring at reduced amount of water used and reduced decrease of power of gas turbocharger. 14 cl, 4 dwg
