UNIT FOR DESALTING OF MINERALIZED WATER Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: agriculture, particularly, irrigated agriculture. SUBSTANCE: unit includes accumulator of mineralized water, pumping plant, pressure supplying pipelines, ice platform with draining layer, impervious screen, embankments, cut-off drain and water outlet pipes, winter sprinkling apparatus for freezing-on of ice mass, channel for collecting of brines and desalted water with control installations, desalted water accumulator and evaporator. Unit is provided with control and measurement complex, power plant and closed gravity collecting channel connected with collecting channel by water intakes. Bulkhead of water intakes is made of hydrophobic material and protected from snow precipitation. Collecting channel is laid below average perennial depth of ground freezing and provided with control installation for measurement of direction of flow, either to evaporator, or to desalted water accumulator. Unit is applicable in irrigated agriculture for water supply of hydraulic amelioration systems with closed cycle of water circulation.
