FIELD: textile industry branches, namely measuring and evaluating watertight properties of fabric. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes jet, unit for positioning sample, unit for supplying liquid and detecting time period of complete wetting. Unit for positioning sample is in the form of pickup mounted with possibility of rotation around horizontal axis and having flat plate made of copper foiled glass textolite with alternating tracks subjected to treatment by means of tin alloys and etching by photochemical printing respectively. Unit for supplying liquid is in the form of flexible hose having in its end jet mounted with possibility of regulating its position in vertical direction. Axis of said jet passes through center of pickup. Electric circuit of apparatus includes rectifiers. EFFECT: possibility for performing complex evaluation of functional characteristics of watertight properties of textile materials. 3 dwg
