FIELD: mining industry, particularly, concentration of sands containing gold and other noble metals. SUBSTANCE: method includes preparation of sands for concentration; gravity concentration of coarse and mean gold particles; hydrometallurgical processing of tailings; supply of gravity concentration tailings to inclined trough and exposed to magnetic field; gravity finishing treatment of withdrawn magnetic concentrate; sending of obtained concentrate for drying; successive removal from dried concentrate of strong magnetic and weakly magnetic fractions and gold is withdrawn from nonmagnetic fraction by ferrohydrostatic separation. Tailings of gravity finishing are combined with tailings of strong magnetic, weakly magnetic, ferrohydrostatic separations, and directed to hydrometallurgical processing. EFFECT: higher efficiency of recovery of small- and fine- particles gold and reduced cost of gold concentration. 3 cl
