FIELD: nuclear industry; regeneration of ion nitrates contained in effluents. SUBSTANCE: method involves thermal decomposition of ion nitrates in solution and regeneration of nitric oxide vapors produced in the course of thermal treatment in aqueous medium; thermomechanical contact is provided in contacting area of reaction chamber between this solution and gas stream introduced simultaneously into reaction chamber in the form of symmetrical gas flow its temperature being at least higher than decomposition point of main part of nitrates in solution; mechanical energy of gas flow is high enough to encourage fine spraying of solution and to ensure instant decomposition of these nitrates accompanied by production of nitric oxide vapors which are then converted into nitric acid by means of cooling and absorption in aqueous medium. In this way all nitrates contained in aqueous solution are instantly decomposed irrespective of decomposition point of each of them without forming disordered precipitates on device walls. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of instant decomposition of all nitrates. 22 cl, 3 dwg
