FIELD: production of uranium oxides. SUBSTANCE: solution of uranyl nitrate is sprayed into fine drops along the axis of reaction chamber. Fluid gas medium is introduced in the form possessing such temperature and mechanical energy which allow performance of dehydration and calcination of uranyl nitrate. As a result of thermomechanical contact between solution of uranyl nitrate and gas medium, uranium trioxide is formed with specific surface of 12-15 sq.cm/g. Concentration of solution of uranyl nitrate is 350-1200 g/l. It is produced from hexahydrated uranyl nitrate. Fluid gas medium is introduced into chamber in the form of turbulent flow directed round the axis of spraying of uranyl nitrate solution. Fluid gas medium is a gaseous product of complete combustion of propane in air. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 9 cl, 3 dwg
