FIELD: waste water treatment. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical treatment of waste water and can find use at municipal plumbing systems and at enterprises possessing autonomous waste disposal plants. Apparatus has filter grate incorporated into frame and basement with rakers mounted thereon. Raker is provided with drive and upper cleaner. Drive is constructed in the form of a hinged-lever mechanism. Upper cleaner with built-in mechanism for cleaning plate, teeth, and empty spaces of raker is constructed in the form of collecting pipe with nozzles. Basement is constructed in the form of guiding three- dimensional frame with triangular outline. Raker looks as fork mounted on rolls to move peripherally all around the frame. Height of triangular frame is chosen equal to displacement of the water flow for 1 sec at minimum allowable water flow velocity before the grate. Width of raker plate is chosen equal to half height of the triangular frame outline. On the surface of raker, there are uniformly arranged openings 6-8 mm in diameter. EFFECT: prolonged service life of grate and decreased backing caused by expansion of pre-grate and grate spaces due to accumulation of waste. 6 cl, 5 dwg
