FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of synthesis of vinyl chloride by thermal pyrolysis of ethane dichloride. Process involves feeding pyrogas through a boiler-utilizer into hardening-column from above of that the gaseous phase containing vinyl chloride, ethane dichloride and hydrogen chloride is removed. From the bottom of column the liquid phase containing resins and coke is removed also. Pyrogas is cooled with the parent ethane dichloride that is heated preliminary and fed on the upper part of additional fractionating column combined with a boiler-utilizer unit. Ethane dichloride vapors from additional fractionating column are fed to reaction zone of pyrolysis furnace coilpipe. Liquid ethane dichloride from intermediate plate is fed to evaporation and overheating zone with its removal from this zone and feeding to separator followed by feeding ethane dichloride vapors to the reaction zone of furnace pyrolysis and liquid ethane dichloride is fed into a boiler-utilizer unit. The gaseous phase outletting from hardening-column is cooled with ethane dichloride and then cooled with water. Water is fed in coilpipe arranged in upper part of convective pyrolysis furnace chamber to yield steam.
