FIELD: transport engineering; passenger transport systems. SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for building overhead monorail systems. Proposed system has run made in form of box-section steel running beam mounted on supports, electric train with head and passenger cars moving along run whose under car frames are secured on head and intercar bogies with running wheelsets, and vertical and horizontal stabilizing wheelsets. Linear traction drive has passive elements installed on running beam and active elements in form of inductor installed on electric train. Running bogies are made in form of design units first of which unites pairs of running and horizontal stabilizing wheels, and second unit units vertical stabilizing wheels and linear motor inductor. Running and horizontal stabilizing wheels in first design unit are rigidly secured relative to each other. Second design unit is secured relative to first unit by means of resilient deformable element and intermediate transfer elements. Resilient deformable elements are made for provision of relative displacement of two design units along one of three axes square to plane of train running, and intermediate transfer elements are made for fixing relative position of two design units relative to each other along two other axes.
