FIELD: seismic prospecting. SUBSTANCE: the seismic wave generator has a wave exciter, power plant, generator control device and a device for reception of electric signals installed on a vehicle. The generator has geophones connected to the vehicle by means of elevators and positioned at different distances from the wave exciter. The elevators are connected to the power plant via a power line. The geophones are connected to the information inputs of the device for reception of electric signals, whose control input is connected to the generator control device. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of seismic prospecting operations with non-explosive sources due to investigation and account of the influence of variations of the acoustic properties of the medium under investigation in the zone adjoining the wave exciter. 1 dwg
