LOAD-LIFTING MACHINE OPERATOR SEAT Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: transport engineering and materials handling facilities; load-lifting cranes. SUBSTANCE: seat for crane operator has flat leverage consisting of two four-member parallelograms installed in parallel relative to each other and consisting of articulated members. Axle passes through middle of lower member of one of parallelograms. Hollow lever with fitted- on springs-loaded lock is installed on this axle. Locking element of lock can occupy one of three positions in slots of worn wheel installed on axle, making it possible to discretely regulate position of seat. Worm wheel engaging with worm provides smooth regulation of seat position. Four-member parallelograms and worm pair are mounted on frame installed in vertical post connected with cab floor through torus-shaped vibration protection member. Seat is furnished with passive safety device made in form of air jacket with zipper in center of front part covering also operator's thighs. Lower sides of air jacket and shoulder elements (straps) are rigidly connected to lower surface of cushion and rear surface of seat backrest. Air jacket is provided with stitched communicating chambers housing perforated tubular elements connected with gas source housing. EFFECT: improved protection against traumatic injuries and conditions of operation at inclination and in emergency situations owing to passive safety devices. 3 dwg
