MATERIALS HANDLING MACHINE OPERATOR CONTROL STATION Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: materials handling and construction engineering; tower crane cabins. SUBSTANCE: crane operator control station has vibration protection device including flexible torus-shaped pneumatic member, guide arrangement formed by curved pipe with horizontal section on which seat cushion is secured in horizontal slot of clamp tube with stop. Control levers and control instruments are arranged at seat armrests. Lower end of curved tube, floor of control station and lever with spring-loaded roller are rigidly interconnected and installed for movement on horizontal axle of vertical post with rigidly fitted on two position cam. Spring-loaded roller gets into cam slots. Vertical post is installed for turning relative to vertical axle and is fixed by locking screw on ball support connected through vibration protection torus-shaped device with cabin floor through threaded joints. Handle with adjustable L-shaped double lock for embracing operator's shoulders is installed on upper end of vertical post by means of two-position cam device and pull-back spring. Floor of control station rests in ring vibration support built into cabin floor through three member. Rear member is made in form of adjusting screw, and two front members are provided with spring-loaded extensible support for operator's heels, and damper. EFFECT: enhanced visibility, provision of safety for operator owing to enlarged operating capabilities of control station. 3 dwg
