FIELD: internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: intake system with controlled swirling for automobile engine with distributed fuel injection has main (large) and additional (small) throttle valves, air receiver with intake branch pipes for each cylinder and auxiliary channels delivering swirl-forming air flows at angle to intake branch pipe axis into fuel injection zone, and throttle valve control mechanism regulating air delivery into receiver by operating main throttle valve and into auxiliary channels by moving additional throttle valve. Electrically-operated idle-speed regulator is installed in bypass idle air channel. Auxiliary channel are made in form of tubes coming out of common distributing air main line installed parallel to air receiver. These tubes are laid tangentially relative to each intake branch pipe in plane square to its axis. Additional throttle valve is installed at input of distributing main line. Inner diameter of each tangential tube is 0.15-0.5 of inner diameter of intake branch pipe, cross- section area of distributing air main line is within 1.5 and 4.0 of tangential tubes cross-section summary area. Electric air heater is installed at input of distributing air main line after additional throttle valve. Bypass idle air channel is made bypassing additional throttle valve. Proposed invention reduces fuel consumption, toxicity of exhaust gases and improves main performance characteristics of gasoline engines. EFFECT: simplified design of intake system, improved gasoline engine performance characteristics owing to improvement of fuel-air mixing. 1 dwg
