FIELD: cosmetic dyeing compositions. SUBSTANCE: the composition suggested contains, in a dyeing-acceptable medium, at least, one oxidized foundation, 1.3-bis-(beta-hydroxyethyl)amino-2 methylbenzene and/or, at least, one of their saline adducts together with acids as the first dye-forming substance; and, at least, one substituted maminophenol and/or its saline adduct with acids as the second dye-forming substance, and the method for dyeing by using this composition. The latter enables to obtain dyers able to present strong and highly chromatic dyes resistant to different aggressive impact upon hair.
