FIELD: cosmetics. SUBSTANCE: composition for oxidizing coloring of keratin fibers contains in acceptable for coloring medium an oxidizable base, 1,3-bis(β-hydroxy-ethyl) amino-2-methylbenzol and/or one from their salt adducts with acids as the first color-forming substance, and substituted m-phenylenediamine as the second color-forming substance. The invention also deals with the method of coloring by using said composition and set for coloring of keratin fibers.
