FEEDER Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: animal farming. SUBSTANCE: feeder has immovable frame 1, rectangular hopper 2 mounted on frame 1 and equipped with discharge windows 3 formed in side walls thereof. Feeding conveyor 4 arranged inside rectangular hopper 2 is made in the form of bottom 8 disposed on rollers 7 and connected with eccentric mechanism 5 through connecting rods 6. Bottom 8 is equipped with transverse slots, where split planks are positioned for rotation. Split planks are rigidly fixed on spindles equipped with rods arranged on ends thereof and retained by pins. Rods are inserted into holes of brackets secured to transverse planks of bottom 8. Levers arranged along spindle edges, opposite to planks, are cooperating with stops on surface of bottom 8 to restrict angle of rotation of levers during passing thereof through feed monolith and combing feed off. Stops restrict direction of rotation of levers on each half of bottom 8 toward side walls of rectangular hopper 2. Feed overhanging preventing device is made in the form of array of V-shaped longitudinal members fixed above bottom 8 and facing with their bases toward bottom 8. Different kinds of feeds are supplied at different angles of repose by means of elliptical rollers whose shafts are connected by tie-rods through telescopic levers and are inserted through journal fixed on hopper 2, whose walls are equipped with slots for moving V-shaped members. Combing working tool is formed as spring-loaded double-armed lever pivotally secured above discharge window 3 and equipped with rakes engageable with split planks on bottom 8 for removing feed therefrom. Double-armed lever is provided with spring fixed to hopper side wall. Feeder is driven by rotary mechanism of tractor through cardan and dispensing shafts and reducer. EFFECT: wider range of feeds, which may be dispensed by adjusting longitudinal members, wider operational capabilities and simplified construction. 2 cl, 6 dwg
