FIELD: aviation. SUBSTANCE: proposed wing leading edge 16 is intended for supersonic transport aircraft; in retracted position, leading edge forms lower surface as far as center of leading edge rounding radius. At minimum velocity, leading edge moves forward and turns downward. Bending of flap leading edge directed upward causes break-away of flow forming eddy flow on upper surface of flap. Rounded shape of upper fixed leading edge ensures controllable stall recovery on upper surface of wing, thus stabilizing eddying which creates lift force and pitching moment. Mechanism 27 for motion of vortex flap consists of two supports 24 in wing span with two diverging straight guides 64 and 68 each and drive 62 for propeller in center of panel of flap 29. Motion of flap is essentially normal relative to aerodynamic loads and therefore requires slight driving forces. EFFECT: possibility of creating maximum lift force at minimum speed; lowered spatial attitude for lift coefficient; improved aerodynamic properties. 15 cl, 10 dwg
