Lower winglet attachment portion can be attached to the attachment portion to the wing and may serve as a support for the lower winglet. Joining portion to the wing can be detachably connected to the end of the wing by means of fasteners. Method of attaching the divided winglet to the wing of an aircraft is characterized by using a winglet attachment. Aircraft contains a winglet attach fitting.
