FIELD: optical instrumentation. SUBSTANCE: invention is meant for development and design of geodetic devices used for geodetic leveling of levels of points of terrain, members of structures, parts of buildings, for conducting marking during erection and construction of engineering structures to set vertical and horizontal lines with laser beam. Given laser geodetic level has body in which laser radiation source and collimation unit are mounted in sequence of one optical axis. Collimation unit comes in the form of telescopic system of large magnification fitted with focusing device. Its objective lens is inserted with correction element made of two glasses with internal aspherical connection boundary. Laser diode module equipped with system controlling radiation intensity is employed in the capacity of radiation source. Laser geodetic level is supplemented with additional optical system - sighting tube which optical axis is parallel to optical axis of collimation unit. EFFECT: high precision of setting of laser beam direction over long path, operation in wide range of illumination intensity, expanded functional capabilities, capability to form radiation in the form of lines, concentric circles and two mutually perpendicular beams, control over brightness of laser radiation, small mass and dimensions, self-contained power supply. 1 cl, 2 dwg
