SUBSTANCE: fuse has small-size body 2 holding arc-suppression filler 1 and also fusible member 4 placed in body and made of strip material with full-section and reduced-section portions 6 and 7, respectively; these portions are perforated; upon occurrence of short circuit electric arc is suppressed within fuse body by splitting it into a number of sequentially burning arcs along fusible member at points of all zigzag-shaped necks 7. Fusible members practically completely blow out due to reduced sectional area. EFFECT: reduced size and power loss; enhanced operating reliability. 2 cl, 1 dwg
