FIELD: technology of inorganic agents; production of aluminum sulfate which may be used as coagulant, adsorbent or catalyst. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes preparation of aqueous suspension of aluminum hydroxide, decomposition of aluminum hydroxide by sulfuric acid at preset Al2O3:SO3 ratio followed by drainage of melt to conveyer belt, crystallization, granulation and cooling. Decomposition of aluminum hydroxide is performed at temperature of 150 to 120 C; granulation is performed at temperature of beginning of crystallization of melt by means of drum-granulator provided with external perforator; drum- granulator is placed above conveyer belt at distance of 0.5 to 4.0 m from point where melt gets on conveyer belt depending on content of aluminum oxide in melt and temperature, after which drum-granulator is lowered till perforator gets in contact with conveyer belt and is set rotation towards motion of conveyer belt.
