FIELD: paint and varnish industry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to bactericidal compositions used for protective covers of different materials in air and aqueous media against overgrowing. Composition consists of organosoluble dye or varnish and bactericidal component based on derivative of polyhexamethylene- - guanidine. It has derivatives of polyhexamethyleneguanidine of the general formula: as a bactericidal component where n = 30- 60; R is a base, chloride, fluoride, phosphate, stearate, sorbate, carboxylcellulose, isophthalate, acetate, oleate, folate, oxalate and dehydroacetate in the following ratio of components, mas. p.: derivatives of polyhexamethyleneguanidine, 0.35-9; organosoluble dye or varnish, 91-99.65.
