SUBSTANCE: device designed for controlling complex process equipment functioning in fuzzy situations has N threshold elements, two OR gates, delay circuit, threshold regulator, N + 1 pulse shapers, and converter that functions to convert position code into serial binary, binary-decimal, or number-pulse code. Device provides for output of information concerning entities showing extreme values of controlled variables in number-pulse and position codes in concurrent servicing of set of uniform entities. It has number-pulse or other desired output, group of two-position multiple-bit outputs, group of multiposition and multiple-bit outputs. Its input and output impedances can be raised and output signals unified to adapt them to next processing facilities and to transmit information over communication channels.
